How To Play FEDOKU

  • Fill all 9 cells with the correct Fire Emblem unit.
  • You have only 10 guesses — once used, a guess is gone even if wrong.
  • There are at least 2 valid answers per cell. May not apply to creator submitted puzzles!
  • Once you place a unit, you cannot reuse them in another cell.
  • Units must satisfy both the row and column category to count.
  • Units data is taken from their initial appearance. Reclassing etc. is not taken into consideration.
  • Your Uniqueness Score is the sum of pick percentages across all cells. Each cell contributes the % of players who chose the same unit for that cell. Lower score = rarer picks = better score!
  • An empty or failed cell adds 100 points to your score.
  • New puzzles every day at midnight local time.
  • Hover over any category to see a fuller description of what it means. Categories with a small icon in the corner also link to Serenes Forest or Fire Emblem Wiki for more info.

How to earn puzzle submission tokens

What are tokens?

Tokens let you submit a custom puzzle for potential inclusion as a featured FEDOKU daily. Each token grants one submission.

How do I earn tokens?

Help fix unit data errors. When a unit in the puzzle has incorrect information, you can flag the bugged field and submit what you think the correct value should be.

Each correction that gets approved — either automatically by community consensus or manually by an admin — counts toward your personal correction total. Reach 50 approved corrections and you earn 1 token. Every additional 50 approved corrections earns another.

How does a correction get approved?

Two ways: if 20 or more players have submitted a correction for the same flag and 90% or more agree on the same value, it is approved automatically. Otherwise, an admin can manually review and approve it.

How do I avoid wasting my time?

Submit only what you genuinely know to be correct. If your answer differs significantly from the final approved value, it will be marked as low-effort and will not count toward your total.

How do I use a token?

Once you have a token, a "Submit Puzzle" option will appear here. Build your puzzle using the in-game Puzzle Creator, then submit it for review.
